• Shared-decision making tools
• Induction/augmentation of labor
• Fetal monitoring
• Pain medication including analgesics/nitrous oxide/epidurals
• Fetal monitoring, IV's, second-stage interventions
• Non-medical alternatives
• The initial recovery period and family-centered birth tips
• Reasons for a cesarean section, reducing the risk for cesarean section, and what occurs during an unplanned cesarean section

This course includes an 18-month access to a web app with videos, parent tools, & downloadable resources! 

This course focuses on the first 6-weeks of newborn care.  

Topics include:

• Tips for skin-to-skin contact 
• Newborn procedures and appearance
• Reflexes and senses
• How to interact with your newborn
• Infant crying patterns and coping with crying
• Abusive head trauma
• Feeding/sleeping patterns
• Diapering/bathing/nail care
• Umbilical cord care
• Circumcision/penis care
• Safe sleep recommendations/SUIDS 
• Well baby recommendations
• Signs of illness and more
